For purple, use an oxidizing flame, and for an opaque sea green, use a reducing flame. It results in a bright violet-blue strike. Work in a hot neutral flame up to a slightly oxidizing flame. A reducing flame will affect the blue strike. Light Blue Amber is not well-suited for thin blown work, but best for sculptural applications.
